This MouseRug design is inspired by a traditional Persian
hand-knotted wool carpet that contains silk highlights. The Persian Isfahan
rug is a 20th Century rendition of a "vase" carpet, similar to rugs woven in
the capital city of Isfahan in the 16th and 17th centuries during the
Safavid Dynasty. The inclusion of birds and deer in the rug fit well into
the overall design. The classic Isfahan red and blue give this rug a
timelessness that allows it to complement any decor.
